The Curve is probably the single most popular mall among expats that
live in Kuala
Lumpur. This is partly because it
is located to one of the biggest expat enclaves of the city; Mont Kiara. The
Curve is a very nice shopping mall, with over 250 stores spread out over 3
floors. The Curve is located outside of Kuala Lumpur city center; within
Petaling Jaya. Tourists that stay within the Golden Triangle have ample
shopping possibilities at their disposure. For them there is probably no need
to travel all the way to The Curve to shop.
Right opposite of The Curve you can find the huge IKANO Power Centre; a
huge complex with only the headquarters or flagship stores of the biggest
(non-fashion) brands. Here you find the IKEA (first and only IKEA in Malaysia),
Macy's, Aussini, a huge Harvey Norman, the biggest pet store in KL and many
other big stores including a Cold Storage at the lower ground floor. IKANO
Power Centre is connected to The Curve by a sky bridge from the 1nd floor and
an underpass located in front of the entrance to IKEA.
Metrojaya is an anchor tenant at the Curve. They have a
big store comprising 2 floors. Right outside The Curve there is a huge Tesco;
probably one of the biggest supermarkets in Malaysia At the other side of the complex you will find 'The
Street'. Here all the outside restaurants are located. Every night people from
the area come together to have dinner or to enjoy a drink. Past the restaurants
you will find at Curve; the cineplex with numerous screens. The Curve
replicates a city for all; with many fun attractions for the people to enjoy
